View and/or Buy this item @ eBay We offer a full selection of conversion harness for Honda and Acura vehicles. We specialize in Automatic Transmission harness conversion because of the complexity of what all is involved. Depending on what your are trying to swap will change what specific harness you may need and what else will be involved to successfully swap it ALL over. Here is a check list to consider before contacting us for more info about what you may need and what else you will need to do over and above simply buying this harness. Other website trick you into thinking that all you need is the harness and it works great, Not So in the real world where their are many other aspects to consider that other websites and sellers do not realize. The harness pictured above is for an OBD2 back to an OBD1 A/T swap.
ECU or ECM is an Electronic Control Unit or Module. This controls your engine functions only for automatic cars and for stick shift Hondas they only have one control unit that controls both the engine and manual trans. We can help is the selection of what ECU/ECM to get. TCM is an Transmission Control Module. This controls your automatic trans. OBD is On Board Diagnostic this reflects what year ECU/ECM you have. The preferred OBD system is by far OBD1. The OBD2 system is to complex on Hondas and not as user friendly as OBD1. When selecting a Honda to swap try to get one that came with OBD1 or about 1990 an up. O2 Sensor is the sensor that tell the ECU/ECM what the engine is doing. The placement is important when doing swaps. The price is more than other places But we offer sale and SERVICE with all of our products unlike other harness sellers. another words we are going to walk you through what ever you are doing as long as you buy here period. We have realized the need for this when especially when swapping automatic Hondas. The O2 may need to be changed and length added on some swaps. ENGINE HARNESS is the harness attached to the engine. All Hondas have two one engine and one Cabin. CABIN HARNESS is inside of the car. Try to get the engine harness with any swap along with the matching ECU/ECM and TCM for an A/T swap. KNOCK SENSOR is the sensor that tell the ECU/ECM if the engine has a ping, detonation or knock and in turn retards the timing. If the engine you a using has a knock sensor and your car did not come with one you will need a Knock Sensor Harness also. No extra charge we even wire it in for you. example would be swapping a H22 in to an Accord that had a F22 nonvtec. DISTRIBUTOR is the main part of the ignition system and usually has the cam sensor and sometimes the crank sensor inside of it and possible the coil. some swap require rewiring the crank sensor and using another distributor. We also offer a Performance Distributors that is not yet listed. Shift Lock Solenoid is the safety feature that Honda built in the shifter to prevent the car from ever getting accidentally knocked into gear. This function may not work on your swap and need to be unhooked. We take no responsibility for any safety items unhooked or bypassed But do realize that it is necessary and unavoidably. The owner is solely responsible for operating the car properly and safe. This feature is never missed. EGR Valve is the Exhaust Gas Recirculation system control. This is needed on ALL street driven car and believe it or not it add power on the bottom end. Some places sell EGR Block Off plates, Do waist you money on one they only give you a check engine light and less power. The only Hondas that would Not need an EGR system is a true race car only track driven and would have carbs or a programmed ECU/ECM to compensate for the lack of EGR. Some swaps require rewiring of the EGR valve.
Question: Hi, Maybe you can help me out here because I’ve been looking online for OBD2 A/T Swap to an OBD1 A/T and have yet to find someone that has successfully done a H22A A/T OBD1 into a 96-97Accord Vtec A/T OBD2 that isnt getting a rev problem or throwing codes. I purchased an H22A not realizing that it came with an ECU & TCU. In which my case I have a 96Accord A/T Vtec Which only has one ECU for both the engine and tranny. Do you know of anyone that has done such a swap without any problems?? Answer: We have successfully completed 2 obd2 to obd1 automatic swaps here. We sell the harness here : http://www.f22parts.com/Item_Harness.htm and offer any free help you may need vie email, rite here...
